Rassie van der Dussen is a South African professional cricketer. His official name is Hendrik Erasmus “Rassie” van der Dussen. He was born on the 7th of February 1989. As of 2022, Rassie van der Dussen age is 33 years. He plays for the South Africa national cricket team at the international level. In domestic cricket, he represents the cricket team of Highveld Lions.
He was declared one of the five Cricketers of the Year in the 2018 South African Cricket Annual Awards. He was revealed as the International Men’s Newcomer of the Year at Cricket South Africa’s annual award ceremony in 2019. For the 2019–20 season, a central contract is given to him by the board of Cricket South Africa. Van der Dussen’s IPL team is Rajasthan Royals. At the IPL 2022 Auction, the Rajasthan Royals bought him for his base price of ₹1 crore. The 2022 season is going to be his debut season in the IPL.
Career:
van der Dussen was named to the Cape Town Knight Riders’ squad In August 2017 for the first season of the T20 Global League. For the first edition of the Mzansi Super League T20 tournament, van der Dussen was named to Jozi Stars’ squad in October 2018. He made his debut against Zimbabwe In September 2018, when South Africa toured Zimbabwe for a Twenty20 International (T20I) series. On 9 October 2018, he made his T20I debut for South Africa against Zimbabwe.
